My path to Streck Mack Schwedhelm

I was already intrigued by tax law during my studies due to its systematic approach. As a research assistant at the University of Passau, I was able to further develop my expertise in tax law. I undertook my own research into the area of VAT law. I am particularly interested in the numerous academically challenging problems within the field of EU VAT law. I successfully completed my dissertation in the field of VAT law. I completed my legal clerkship in the regional court district of Wiesbaden, where I also took the elective course "Tax and Finance." I subsequently worked for a tax-focused law firm in Frankfurt am Main.

In addition to tax law, I am interested in US law and the legal values and approaches of other legal systems. I thus decided to pursue an LL.M. at the University of Tulane (New Orleans) in the US-State of Louisiana. The many impressions and experiences I gathered there have shaped personality to this day.

After my return from the US, I sought to gain deeper expertise in tax litigation and contentious tax law. STRECK MACK SCHWEDHELM offers an excellent opportunity to do so. After two interviews in Munich and Cologne, I was quickly convinced that I wanted to work here.
