My path to Streck Mack Schwedhelm
At the beginning of law school, I worked part-time at one of the Big Four companies. There, I was mainly involved in tax planning. I wanted to use the upcoming semester break to get more into contact with the topic of litigation, whether before tax courts or in criminal tax proceedings. When I asked a dear colleague at work for a recommendation, it turned out unequivocally: " In that case you have to go to Streck". He was proved right, as the internship provided the insights into the work of a tax lawyer that I had hoped for. I accompanied the lawyers to appointments and was impressed by their negotiating skills. When preparing legal statements, I was already able to contribute an idea or two based on my previous knowledge from a dual study program at the tax authorities . The ideas later bore fruit, which was fun!
After the internship, we stayed in touch over the years through some visits at the Zehnt Academy, but especially by playing football together. As a result, the firm remained at the top of my list when I graduated and earned my doctorate.
