My path to Streck Mack Schwedhelm
Tax law was not my first choice, but Streck Mack Schwedhelm was. The fact that I had focused on company law and gained a doctorate in group law meant that for me, tax law only had an ancillary function. During my traineeship, I had been especially keen on group law as an area of consulting. At the start of my professional career however, high-level company law and in particular group law were dealt with principally in the large law firms. I knew Streck Mack Schwedhelm on account of their many publications, and the structure of the highly specialised ‘boutique’ persuaded me to apply there. After the interview, I was sure that I wanted to work together with these colleagues – and I still do today.
