My path to Streck Mack Schwedhelm

My journey to Streck Mack Schwedhelm is a short one: Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Joecks was designated to be my examiner for the oral test in the first state examination at Greifswald University. In the preliminary discussion he wanted to inspire me into taking a doctorate in criminal tax law. When I mentioned plans to move to the Rhineland, he said that if I wanted to take tax law and criminal tax law in Cologne, there was only one address to consider: Streck Mack Schwedhelm. One year later, I applied there by email for a legal traineeship. I received a call-back within half an hour and was invited to an interview in the same week. That impressed me – and thereafter my traineeship merged seamlessly with my subsequent legal work.
